Thanks Katy Perry!

Earlier this summer (I know, SUPER LATE!) Katy Perry teamed up with Beautylish & Schick Quattro for her California Dreams Tour.  Beautylish held a contest to be able to see her in one of the 9 cities available and all you had to do was state what you love about Katy's look.  I was lucky enough to win the San Jose concert! It was amazing!

Here's the awesome prize package that I won below. I have footage & photos of the concert and currently working on editing the video =) It'll be up as soon as possible.

Thanks Katy, Beautylish, & Schick Quattro!

Urban Decay Primer Potion.

I purchased a gift set a from Sephora a while back that included a XL size of the original primer potion.  I was really looking for something that would keep my eyeshadow long lasting and ended up with a surprise.  I noticed just as a primer on it's own even without eye shadow it matted my oily lids. Now I use it on a daily basis to keep my eyeliner from fading or transferring due to oil. As for lasting eyeshadow I did notice a big difference especially going out at night with friends. After a long night of dancing and getting sweaty my eye makeup looked the same as when I just applied it.

Product Breakdown:
Claims: "This miracle eyeshadow primer is unmatched by any other in the beauty industry! The genie in this bottle fulfills three wishes: eyeshadow that lasts for 24+ hours, more vibrant color and absolutely NO CREASING. Use the magic wand and flocked applicator to apply Primer Potion to lids before shadow application. It glides on easily and dries down almost instantly, creating smooth lids that are super-powered eyeshadow magnets. Original formula dries down invisibly, while Eden and Sin are shades that can be worn as shadows or highlighters! And if you love swiping your Primer Potion out of this pretty genie bottle, we have news: since our formula now comes in a NEW convenient squeeze tube, you can only buy this "vintage" bottle until we run out. (And, it’s $1 less than the new squeeze tube.) Stock up now before they go away forever!"
Packaging: Sleek packaging with a bent wand to be able to get the product. Obviously not as convenient as the new tube packaging in getting all the product.
Price: Affordable. Urban Decay has sales from time to time and you can always get a steal.
Thoughts: I will keep purchasing this item but probably in the tube form instead of the bottle packaging.

Have you used Urban Decay's Primer Potion?

My Favorite Lip Balm.

I discovered this item a few years ago but never tried it up until recently. I went to the dollar store with my boyfriend looking at the beauty products that they had. I wanted to pick up a lip balm to carry in my purse because my Rosebud lip balm was always in my backpack for school which I forget to bring with me. So I resort to using my boyfriend's Chapstick which does nothing for my lips!

Anyway, I thought why not pick it up for only 50 cents. (It was an individual lip balm but the photo below was the only decent one that Google had.)

As I placed it onto my lips, shorty after I felt a tingling sensation. I'm assuming you can compare it to plumping lip balms only without the big lips. It has a very fresh minty feeling that I like. Not only that, but it makes my lips feel so soft and smooth. I swear, I have exfoliated less with this product. Usually my lips are really dry and dull that my skin peels leaving me to exfoliate all the time. Now I probably exfoliate maybe every 2 weeks.

This is something that I would definitely be repurchasing in the future. I only have the regular one & do plan on trying the others. I just love the tingling sensation on my lips that I even apply it on my boyfriend to enjoy the moment with me. Lame I know!

Product Breakdown:
Claims: "Our hydrating lip balm delivers soothing moisturization and contains botanicals of jojoba oil, almond oil, and vitamin with the added benefit of our unique crisp refreshing flavor that defines Aquafina premium lip care. Our unique moisture replenishing system combined with a botanically enriched formula of vitamin E, jojoba oil and almond oils, delivers maximum hydration and shine."

Packaging: Very plain and simple white packaging. Nothing fancy or cute.

Price: Really cheap.

Thoughts: As far as what the company claims about the product I believe it to be true. It is very hydrating and that's what makes me love it! It isn't thick which I like about the product. I have noticed that previous lip balms that I used were very heavy on my lips and this one is really light. I have no doubts about it and hope you try it out as well.

Bobble Review.

I've been having my eye on the bobble for a couple of months before I actually purchased it because I wasn't sure if it was a good investment. There are a few pros and cons with it of course. Not everyone will love every single item on the market.

From where I live in the Bay Area, the tap water here is ...  clean! What? Tap water? Yes, it is super clean and I for one will say that I wouldn't want to drink from tap. But, don't they use tap when you eat at a restaurant? Someone please let me know!

Anyway, there has been debate over it not filtering fluoride on my youtube. Well, don't dentist give you fluoride when you're a kid after having cleaning? I'm assuming it can't be that bad right?

So of course, this product definitely depends on where you live and what type of water you want to consume. This works for me and that's it.

*P.S. For those who think my room is completely messy, well at least you don't have to be in it ;)

Quick Tip: Blot on the go.

Can you believe that toilet seat covers work the same as blotting sheets?

You can spend your money on buying blotting sheets or blotting powder.
But what happens when you forgot to bring them along? Maybe you switched out your purse or you probably carried that cute clutch with you that you just purchased and it won't fit. Here's your solution, go to the bathroom! This was the one tip that I learned in 7th grade that helped me a lot. It was the first time that I learned what a blotting sheet actually was when my cousin used to work for Lancome. She used a sheet on me and WOW! Yes, I do have oily skin and it sucks when I get that shine on my T-zone by the end of the night. Luckily I can just make a quick stop to the nearest bathroom and blot away the oils. It probably won't do as well as the products mentioned above but it will help decrease the shine.

Hey guys! Here’s my video on tights, which took me forever to get to.  This was requested a couple of months back and I never got around to doing it until today.  I’m sorry if the lighting is pretty bad.  I was trying to film before the sun went down.

The different types of hosiery are:
  • 1.     Nylons – cover your legs.
  • 2.     Pantyhose – made out of nylon and covers from the waist down.
  • 3.     Stockings – covers legs and feet. Can be made out of different materials.
  • 4.     Tights – covers from the waist down. Can be made out of another materials besides nylon, for example lace.
